Radiant Heating

The most comfortable type of heating system available utilizes “radiant” heat transfer rather than “conduction” or “convection”. Radiant heating compensates for our bodies heat loss more efficiently, creating a more comfortable environment.
A large surface of your home’s interior, typically your floor, is heated by either hot water flowing through tubes or electrical current flowing
through wires.

Electric radiant heating is most practical for small areas due to the amount of electricity required to power it. Solar energy can be integrated to offset some of the energy consumed.

Hydronic radiant heating is more commonly used in California and is easily integrated with alternative energy sources such as solar thermal and geothermal.
